Hello,
Are there other towns that are running up against a view point that says=
a=20
town should not own any historic buildings.? If so, how have you overcome=
=20
this or proceeded..? Does this seem to be the majority opinion or only in=
=20
my town?

administrators are very leery of expanding beyond the two historic=20
structures the town currently owns. In fact this week, a historic home=

town library property will be demolished and next week a 200+ year bra=

timber frame home once used as a =E2=80=9CToll house=E2=80=9D will be=
demolished (6 month=20

a 280 year old home that has had no significant modifications in the=

century. Our town CPC last year allocated $50k of our $100k request fo=

renovation funds, fortunately this year they have agreed to restore th=
e full=20
request so we can hire North Bennett St School / Keefe Tech to begin=
the=20
restoration work. However, we still don=E2=80=99t have a legitimate us=
e for the=20
facility once it=E2=80=99s restored and may sell it to a private party=
with a deed=20
