[MassHistPres] Leading Locally: Preservation Management Strategies That Work

Join preservation professionals from Historic New England, Massachusetts Historical Commission, and local commissions for a workshop series on preservation management issues in cities and towns, "Leading Locally: Preservation Management Strategies That Work."

Historic New England is pleased to invite historic district commission members, historical commission members, members of community preservation committees, historical societies, local planners, and other advocates for preservation planning at the local level to a series of three day-long workshops on topics that reflect important areas of concern. Each workshop will provide for audience discussion around current challenges; case examples to discuss will be solicited from attendees.

The three workshops planned are:
Friday, May 6, Design Review Concepts, Cases and Issues, 9 AM - 3:30 PM, Codman Estate, 34 Codman Road, Lincoln, Mass.
Friday, June 10, Introduction to Establishing and Administering Preservation Restrictions, 9 AM - 3:30 PM, Codman Estate, 34 Codman Road, Lincoln, Mass.
Friday, September 9, Caring for Municipal, Museum, and Other Non-Profit Historic Properties, 9 AM - 3:30 PM, Lyman Estate, 185 Lyman Street, Waltham, Mass. (location subject to change)

Cost per workshop is $5 for Historic New England members, $10 for nonmembers. A boxed lunch is available for $10 per workshop. Registration is required.
