TOWN OF MARBLEHEAD, MASSACHUSETTS
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
FOR CONSULTING SERVICES
FOR SHIPYARD DISTRICT
HISTORIC PROPERTIES SURVEY
The Town of Marblehead invites qualified historic preservation consultants to submit proposals to the Town for an historic properties survey of Marblehead's Shipyard District. Proposers must meet the following minimum criteria: Bachelor's Degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, Art History or a closely related field and at least two years full-time experience in an area relevant to the project; or Master's Degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, Art History or a closely related field.
Request for Proposals may be obtained at the Selectmen's Office 188 Washington Street Marblehead, Massachusetts 01945 on or after July 21, 2016 during normal business hours. RFP's may also be obtained by e-mail with a request to rebeccac at marblehead.org Technical Proposal and Price Proposal to be submitted in separate sealed envelopes with the proposer's name and address clearly indicated on the outside of the package Proposals must be delivered in sealed packages, plainly marked " SHIPYARD DISTRICT HISTORIC PROPERTIES SURVEY" and addressed to Rebecca Curran Cutting, Abbot Hall, 188 Washington Street, Marblehead, MA no later than 10:00 AM on Monday, August 22, 2016. Any proposals received after such time will not be accepted, unless this date and time has been changed by addendum. It is the responsibility of the applicant to assure proper and timely delivery. The Board of Selectmen is the awarding authority. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to only award a contract if it is in the best interest of the public to do so.
