LEGAL NOTICE


NEWTON ARCHITECTURAL SURVEY 1870 TO 1915 - RFP #17-21


The Newton Planning Department, by and through the City of Newton, is seeking proposals from qualified historic preservation consultant(s) to undertake a survey of 113 historic properties to Massachusetts Historical Commission's standard as part of the Newton Architectural Survey 1870 to 1915.  Proposals must be received at the City of Newton Purchasing Department, Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton, Massachusetts, 02459, on or before 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2016.

The City of Newton reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the Proposal process, if deemed in the City's best interest.

The Request for Proposals (RFP), containing the scope of work, proposal requirements, and evaluation criteria, is available on line at: www.newtonma.gov/bids<http://www.newtonma.gov/bids> or at the Purchasing Department, Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton, Massachusetts, 02459 after 10:00 A.M. on October 6, 2016.

Proposers must meet the following minimum qualifications: a Bachelor's degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, Art History, or a closely related field, plus at least two years full time experience in an area relevant to the project; or a Master's degree in any of the above mentioned areas.

When responding, please be aware that the Massachusetts Secretary of State has determined that most email is public record and therefore cannot be kept confidential.
