Does anyone have experience determining which historic properties qualify for relief from the National Flood Insurance Program? In looking at the program rules (CFR 44, part 59) it looks like some state and local historic designations qualify buildings for relief from floodplain management requirements. In Massachusetts, I'm guessing that individual properties with a preservation restriction listed on the State Register might qualify, and perhaps also single property 40C historic districts? I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with this or knows how I would find out if any local designations listed on the State Register have been certified.
Thanks,
Sarah
