Dear History Friend:

I bet you, like most of us, think the world would be better off if everyone paid more attention to history. Well, the opportunity is here to do something about that.

Yesterday, at the thirteenth annual Massachusetts History Conference, a new networking alliance was launched to facilitate working together on programs such as the conference, start creating statewide advocacy for local and public history (funding, education), and to help with sharing and spreading information about skills building and other programs available to organizations and institutions dedicated to Massachusetts history in one form or another. Membership is open to and encouraged for any nonprofit organization, institution, group, or arm of government whose focus is on any aspect of Massachusetts history.
