[MassHistPres] Workshops in Buildings Archaeology

Roger Williams University Continuing Studies and Newport Restoration
Foundation are offering a series of 1- to 4-day workshops to take place
between May 23 and June 16 in Bristol (at RWU) and in Newport.  The
workshops are designed for architects, planners, preservation and museum
professionals, historic commission members, historic house docents,
homeowners of historic buildings, and others interested in historic
buildings.  The workshops will provide knowledge and skills in Documentary
Research of Historic Properties (presented by Myron Stachiw), 17th - 19th
century Building Technology (Thomas Paske), Documentation of Historic
Buildings Claire Dempsey), Paint Analysis (John Vaughan), and
Dendrochronology. (William Flynt).  Participants may register for one or
more of the all-day workshops, which will occur in conjunction with the
Field School in Building Archaeology.
