The Town of Dedham invites qualified historic preservation consultants to
submit quotes to the Town for an intensive, neighborhood-level historic
properties survey of the Mother Brook Corridor in the area now known as
East Dedham. Excavated in 1641, the Mother Brook Canal activated an inland
waterway that became the economic engine of Dedham's industrial history for
nearly 400 years. The area has never been surveyed.
