Thank you all so much for your responses. I have one further question. I would love to hear about public-private-partnerships in preservation. Who have you found as private partners? What do the partnerships look like? I have heard about reuse of buildings as part of new construction, creating restaurants or coffeeshops, or working with non-profits in repurposing buildings such as large mills. I would love to hear about the various and creative ways in which towns have partnered with developers, banks, or private enterprise, as well as worked with foundations or other private donors.

Thank you very much

We hope to subsequently develop a holistic preservation plan that combines regulatory oversight (Demo delay) with proactive zoning relief provisions for retention of historic structures on properties subject to be further developed.

How long did it take? What kind of partnerships were you able to develop? Do you have recommendations to make for other towns?
