The City of Framingham charges $50 for Historic District Commission applications; this is collected by the City Clerk's office. We send postcards to all residents of the subject district, which is accounted for in our postage budget (we have 5-6 hearings a year).

We do not charge a fee for demolition delay, although our bylaw stipulates that the property owner is to pay for the newspaper notice. I prepare the notice and send it to the newspaper with a cover letter stating the owner's billing information. This is also how our Planning Board handles newspaper notices.

Subject: [BULK] [MassHistPres] Fee Schedule
Importance: Low

Currently we do not charge for filings for a Certificate of Appropriateness or a demolition filing under our Demo Delay bylaw. Both certainly take staff time to review and usually require a legal notice being advertised and abutters notified. Do any of you assess a filing charge and/or a fee for the legal ad?

Thank you in advance for your responses.
