[MassHistPres] Information on Enviroshake composite roofing

Hi everyone,

The Salem Historical Commission recently received an application to replace a 3-tab asphalt shingle roof with new Enviroshake composite cedar shake roofing. This is the first time that this product has been proposed in the City's historic districts.  I was wondering if other Commissions have reviewed this product in historic districts and, if so, was the material found to be appropriate?
