[MassHistPres] Latino Heritage Conference

Almost 10% of Massachusetts' population is Hispanic or Latino, with many vital communities across the state. The Rhode Island Historic Preservation and Heritage Commission focuses on Latino Heritage and Historic Preservation at Encuentro, its 33rd annual statewide preservation conference on April 26-28 in Providence and the Blackstone Valley.

The conference, co-sponsored with Historic New England, also convenes the third national conference of Latinos in Heritage Conservation, a national organization dedicated to honoring the diversity of the Latino experience in the history and culture of the United States.
