REQUEST FOR QUOTES

The Boston Landmarks Commission, by and through the City of Boston, is
seeking responses from qualified historic preservation consultants to
undertake preparation of several elements of an Architectural Conservation
District Study Report for the Highland Park neighborhood in Roxbury,
including the boundary confirmation, district data sheet, statement of
significance, district description, economic status, planning context and
alternative approaches. This Request for Quotes (RFQ) stipulates the
procedures and requirements to be used by the City in its selection for
consulting services.



Requests for Quotes (RFQ) containing scope of work, proposal requirements,
and evaluation criteria, will be/is available upon request after noon on
Thursday, August 1, 2019 until the proposal filing deadline.  All proposals
shall be filed no later than Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 5:00 PM.



The City of Boston ("The City"), acting by its Commissioner of the
Department ("The Official"), requests proposals for the services and/or
supplies described above, as particularly set forth in the Request for
Quotes, which may be obtained from the City's purchasing website and
Supplier Portal (http://www.cityofboston.gov/procurement) under Event ID:
EV00006938 or at 1 City Hall Square, Room 709, Boston, MA 02201 or by
contacting Kathleen von Jena, Assistant Survey Director, Boston Landmarks

The City of Boston reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to
waive any informalities in the Proposal process, if deemed in the City’s
best interest.



Proposers must meet the following minimum qualifications: a Bachelor’s
degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, Art
History, or a closely related field, plus at least two years full time
experience in an area relevant to the project; or a Master’s degree in any
of the above mentioned areas.
