[MassHistPres] We're looking into installing solar panels on NRHP-listed 1789 church - advice?

In CT, we have been reviewing all proposed solar panels on or adjacent to historic houses that involve any kind of state funding, permits, or review.  No panels on rooks have been allowed, and when on the ground, they have to be far enough away to be out of view.

The Secretary of the Interior's historic preservation standards preclude installation of solar panels on historic roofs. You should at least review those before moving forward.
