Garrett, please don't speak for "everyone." I for one see cell towers disguised as unnatural conifers rising twice the height of the deciduous forest they occupy, as statements of misguided regulatory effort. The local stakeholders may be entitled to what they want - simple pole or fake pine tree - but I have been questioned by conservatives who ask if I think historic preservation is well served by requiring such inane looking contraptions. My answer is probably not. In my opinion, sensibility mitigation, if needed, can be better served than by disguising the offence.

If the monopole is approved it would be appreciated by everyone outside of your town, who will see this new feature constantly (reference the traffic load of 93...), if it were either made to look natural or at least designed to blend in from the ground. Obviously it will need to be easily seen by helicopters and planes...
