Our historic Richards Memorial Library in North Attleborough appears to have
an exterior sandstone foundation over brick interior foundation.
Foundation below grade is rubble stone. Water intrusion over this past
winter has resulted in ΒΌ thin layers of the exterior sandstone to fall off
in sheets that measure about 6 x 6 .
What product should we recommend to the Library Board of Trustees that will
seal the sandstone? Is there a product that a handyman can apply? We will
certainly recommend trimming the tree branches overhanging the red slate
roof and cleaning the copper gutters which are still full of leaves at this
time of year.
Also we are also looking for someone who will do small repair jobs to the
red slate roof. Perhaps a retired person who was in the trade. Is there
anyone you can recommend?
Thank You !
Ann
