I’m not on the relevant committee, but I thought folks here might like to know the redevelopment committee has put out this RFP:

Until a couple of years ago it served as the police station, so there are a lot of interior modifications; most notably, the upper floor, which was originally a ballroom/courtroom, was partitioned into a bunch of smaller rooms, with a dropped ceiling that turned the original cathedral ceiling into an attic space. A concrete-block elevator shaft for a tiny elevator was installed at the back of the building, which would make restoring that grand space a challenge, perhaps. But it’s still a really lovely building and I hope someone will turn it back into a public space of some kind!

My partner, a former architectural drafter, volunteered for the reuse committee to do the as-built drawings, so if we can help interpret anything, let me know.
