The Town of Carlisle is accepting letters of interest / resumes for an
Administrative Assistant to the Historical Commission. This is a part-time
position which includes
attending one evening Commission meeting a month.
The Administrative Assistant will provide key support to an active
Commission. Core requirements of the position include, but are not limited
to:
· Establishing and adhering to a detailed annual CHC meeting
schedule based on the current model.
· Pre-meeting and post-meeting preparation and timely follow-up
with applicants (or their agents) on all facets of applicant’s
applications.
· Timely filing of public legal notices and preparing/posting
abutter’s notices as needed.
· Accurate transcription of meeting minutes and drafting of CHC
Annual Report.
· Setting up and monitoring ZOOM calls for CHC monthly evening
meetings
· Good organizational skills, and good communication and writing
skills.
· Familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
· Ability to interface with town hall staff (in person) and
residents in a friendly and cooperative manner.
Prior municipal experience and/or working knowledge of MA General Laws Ch.
40C and the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards preferred but not
required.
