Brookline has an Olmsted-Richardson thematic LHD going to Town Meeting (fingers crossed) with four non-contiguous sites. Lincoln also has an LHD with numerous mid-century modern non-contiguous sites.

There is a large lot that contains a school between the current district boundary and this house. It certainly makes sense to have this house to be included with the others in the district for several reasons. I see nothing Chapter 40C or our town bylaw that specifies the properties must be contiguous and wondered if other towns have districts that contain non-contiguous properties. Any thoughts would be helpful and appreciated.

Note that there is a statement in Chapter 40C about the need for commissions to be particularly mindful of alternative energy solutions. Our HPC typically negotiates alternative locations for related equipment boxes so that they are not located on the street-facing facade.
