[MassHistPres] convenience store signage

We have convenience store within our Historic District, the large plate glass windows are fully covered from the inside advertising everything from soup to nuts. The owners are now applying for a beer and wine license which we suspect will result in even more signage. I'm having  difficulty in interpreting just how MGL 40C speaks to this. Plenty of information about exterior signage.It's a topic of much complaint and I have yet been able to figure out how to address it.Anyone have a similar situation with a store in the district?  Any suggestions on 40C guidelines for this would be greatly appreciated.Alisa StruthersChairmanTownsend Historic District Commission
