[MassHistPres] Historic Property - REUSE RFP

I wondered if you would be willing to circulate the following to the
ListServ?  Thank you!



I represent the town of Northborough, MA in bringing the White Cliffs
Mansion through an RFP process to find a partner/buyer/user for the
property, which is the former summer home of Daniel and Cynthia Wesson of
Smith and Wesson fortune.  It had been used as an event venue for the past
50+- years until the town purchased the property to save it from
demolition.  I’m in the middle of drafting the RFP, but part of the
exercise is to get in touch with potential interested parties in advance of
releasing the RFP. The property had been used as an event venue (weddings
etc) for the past 50+- years.  We are now in the process of preparing an
RFP for the sale or lease of the property to a developer, end user, or
partner and are open to creative users and uses of the property and is
serious about helping to make the reuse scenario a success.  We will be
issuing an RFP within the next 30-60 days and are preparing due diligence
materials and gathering preliminary interest by casting a wide net.



The property is a remarkable example of large-scale Queen Anne/Shingle
Style and much of the original historic fabric remains intact.  If you have
any contacts who you think might be interested in learning more about the
property and the upcoming RFP, please reach out and I will be happy to
