[MassHistPres] Slate roof contractor?

An historic building here in Townsend has come to need repair to it's leaking slate roof. It's a very small building and the Town administrator has submitted an application for approve\al to replace the slate with architectural shingles, stating that there is no contractors that do "slate" anymore. The commission would like to put forward recommendations if in fact anyone knows of  any roofing contractors are out there that work with slate. Also has anyone replaced a slate roof with an architectural shingle that looks like slate?Thank you in advance for any input.Alisa Townsend Historic District Commissioner
