Hi Gloria,

Don't give up.  There is a relatively new technology using dry ice  
that works for mold remediation.  Basically a machine blasts tiny  
pellets of dry ice at the surface and the mold spores are killed and  
removed (it also works for fire restoration). Here's a link to one
