About 10 years ago Brookline combined a forgettable 1960's Police
station (inspired by one of Lou Kahn's unmemorable early housing
projects) and a mansarded ex-fire station into a new public safety
building which definitely made a silk purse out of a sows ear as far
as the police station was concerned. While it contains the Fire HQ.
There are no trucks there.
