[MassHistPres] arch-topped storms? / fire exit storms

1) Cleary and Sons (for one) reps / sells / installs a storm made in Ohio
that makes gorgeous curved top storms.
2) A pre-existing window is getting in the way of a fire escape??? That's
new to me as someone who consistently works with 150yr old + buildings.
Maybe a picture of this problem is in order?
