[MassHistPres] Our recent repair/replacement window thread

Last month there was a lengthy discussion of repair vs replacement of windows in old houses.  It listed several sources of information and people who make the repairs.
 
Alas, my Yahoo e-mail search function isn't working well, and I can't find that thread now that I need it.  Could someone send me some of the late-in-the-chain e-mails that summarize the information? I need something to present the other side of the argument, to counter the pitch from the replacement window salesmen.
