[MassHistPres] New Bedford, MA named a Dozen Distinctive Destination

Since 2000, the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Dozen
Distinctive Destination program has recognized cities and towns that
offer an authentic visitor experience by combining dynamic downtowns,
cultural diversity, attractive architecture, cultural landscapes and a
strong commitment to historic preservation, sustainability and
revitalization. In each community, residents have joined together and
taken action to protect their town's character.

 

The National Trust announced it's 2011 winners and New Bedford, MA was
named one of the Dozen Distinctive Destinations - the only city in the
entire northeast to win recognition this year! In addition to being
named one of the 12 destinations, you can vote for NB as your favorite
by following the link provided below. Help the City  spread the news
about NB and VOTE!
