To Henry Cooke et al--
I can highly recommend Kai Nalenz for at least the stone-related part of your memorial refurbishment work--and perhaps he could do all of it (the bronze as well as the stone base and metal pin work). He has done wonderful restorative work on many of Brewster's broken cemetery stones over the past several years. Those of us who know him and his work have the highest admiration for him.
You can read several articles about his work in other New England towns (just google his name). The one on his Sudbury work is particularly interesting (you can't click on it here, I see--but you can find it in the Google list). His email address is kai at GravestoneServices.com. --Ellen St. Sure, Brewster HC

What we need are recommendations of conservators or other qualified individuals who can repair the bronze statue while it is off the pedestal, and replace the pins on the seven foot high granite pedestal. Any recommendations would be welcome
