Amherst has the Dickinson LHD (coincides with the Dickinson NHR District) which includes the First Congregational Church. Austin Dickinson (Emily's brother) was involved in relocating the church to a property across the street from his home, Death before inconvenience.

In fact, the church was the local district commission's first customer in 2013, when it (the church) installed a new street-side sign. Everyone survived the experience.

Dear Local Historic Districts
I'm looking for some numbers: do you have a church in your LHD?
If so, please send your town and name of your LHD to us.
We are working on a Polish Heritage Local Historic District that includes a closed Catholic Church, Mater Delorosa and can use some other LHD as examples for our City Council.
Thanks for your time,
Olivia Mausel, Co-Chair
