[MassHistPres] Baker, MHC and easement on State House lawn

In case folks are busy with vacation, the Democratic party convention, or
other things and missed the story about Gov. Baker's effort to grant an
easement on the lawn of the Statehouse to the developers who are
transforming a historic row house into luxury condos, I call it to your
attention. 

 

The story was reported by Frank Phillips in The Boston Globe: first article
"Baker wants to sell part of State House lawn," July 21, 2016. Fortunately,
it has a happy ending: due to the exposure in the press, and Secy. Galvin's
forceful action, the lawn will not be sold.
