Hopkinton has a town funded admin budget for the Historical Commission and Historic District Commission to provide for the costs of filing and advertising. Since both groups are volunteers, we don't have any documented costs although our very capable Town Planner Elaine Lazarus does contribute to the effort in coordinating the work.

Subject: [MassHistPres] Fee Schedule
Currently we do not charge for filings for a Certificate of Appropriateness or a demolition filing under our Demo Delay bylaw. Both certainly take staff time to review and usually require a legal notice being advertised and abutters notified. Do any of you assess a filing charge and/or a fee for the legal ad?
Thank you in advance for your responses.
