Pamela,

In Hopkinton the permitting process is transferable. We have discussed having specific bylaw language below but opted not to include it in our proposed extension of demo delay from 6 months to 18 months,

Subject: [MassHistPres] Demolition Delay Ownership

Dear All:
Looking for some clarification, as our ordinance does not address this issue.
Is a demolition delay determination of preferably preserved attached to the building/property or the owner?
For instance, if an owner comes before the commission, and is given a 12 month delay, and in that 12 months the home is sold to a new home owner, does the demolition determination transfer over to the new owner? Or, would the new owner have to come back before the commission and re apply?

Thanks for your help!
