Like all historical societies, Medfield’s has old, old booksprobably never looked at, taking up valuable space and that really don’t belongin its collection because they have nothing to do with our town’s history.

Would anyone be interested in these books?  Please let me know.

I’malso interested in learning what you’ve done with such storage problems in yourcollection. Shall I just take them to the transfer station? I understand youcan’t recycle hardcovers, I believe because of glue used in binding. It seemsbrutal, but what else is there to do?

KenGloss, Brattle Book Shop’s knowledgeable antiquarian book dealer, told one ofour board members that these books have little or no market value, and thesetexts are available online anyway. I sought a second opinion from a good friendwho has sold many books online through Amazon. She spot-checked online among the books below and concurred; she thoughtmany of them listed may have had zero online sales.
