[MassHistPres] Fundraising Ideas for House Museums

  Any tried-and-true or new ideas for the old problem of fundraising for a
house museum?  The East Boston Museum and Historical Society has recently
put a purchase and sales agreement on the 1844 Donald McKay House (NR, and
City of Boston Landmark).  The intent is to turn it into a museum, event
venue, and possibly convert a carriage house on the site into housing.

Any suggestions are appreciated!
