Dear Michael --

I've long been fascinated by the Mass Tercentenary markers. Many of them
express problematic interpretations of the Commonwealth's history, but they
are important evidence of 1930s commemoration.

I would hope that there would be a statewide response to these historic
commemorations rather than a town-by-town approach. I'm not sure how that
could be accomplished, but it would be a really interesting project. Has
there been a statewide inventory of those plaques? Is there a history of
the project?

With apologies for not really answering your question.....

Best,

Martha
