If you want to know where I spend most of my time, try television. Especially anime. For example, my last favorite show Beast Machines. Revamping an old show which I loved then and love still, here is a show which creates the standard by which others must inevitably follow. Take anime influenced computer graphics that are to die for, mix in with a few transforming robots, which just awakens the adventurer within, polish it all with one hell of plotline, which though expounding a larger theme, alway seemed to allow the shows to stand individually, and what you're left with is a recipe for one hell of an entertaining piece of work. Robert Skir, I bow my head in respect and awe at your masterful technique and sympathetic writing. You and Mainframe have taken an old ideal and brought it unto a new era. A perfect mixture of philosophical ideals and computer animation. Oh joy of joys, and wonder of wonders, I can't wait for the DVD...
So I like cartoons, sue me. They're not the only shows I watch, though. They're just the only ones worth getting pictures of to place on a web page. I'm simply not as apt to visit a web site of a TV show when the graphics of animated shows are just so much more pleasing to a shows which I watch include (but are not limited to):
Stargate: Atlantis (beautiful show, all the best of SG1 and better paced) Stargate: SG1 (though around for a while, I didn't get into it until it moved to Sci-Fi) Star Trek: Enterprise (only the best rendition of ST so far) Highlander - the series and movie (1st movie of course - it's all downhill from there) Star Trek: Next Generation (I love Gene Roddenberry's philosophical undertones) Earth: Final Conflict (Gene Roddenberry just has it goin' on) Andromeda (just like the whole concept) Nash Bridges (I know, it's odd, but I like his character) Farscape (Out of this world heroics with the CGI to match) The Invisible Man (Philosophical and comedic, though the storylines could use help) Two Guys and a Girl (the only sitcom I watch, b/c it is just so damn funny) Witchblade (based on comic book and turned out to be pretty good) I know, I know, some of the shows aren't so great, but hey, they are positively addicting. Haven't you ever loved a TV show like that? I knew you did...
